Monday and Tuesday I spent blading the Munger Trail. From Thompson to Duluth the first several miles are soooo sweeeet!!!! Brand new asphalt and beautiful scenery! I put on 15 miles each day. I realized that the only other trail other than the Cannon Valley I have bladed was up in Itasca and that was way too short. Dave pointed out some other sweet blading trails up past Gooseberry I'll have to try this fall. Something to do when I'm done surfing!

I just went online to check up on you, since you had mentioned that you were going to run The Lower on you own... 'Parently I'm not just a chicken, I am also a mother hen :-)
Saving some of the posts for tomorrow's 12 h day...
I took a look at it monday evening and a rock that was covered the day before was sitcking out of the water six inches. Same on tuesday. I was thinking of getting just a bit in before going home but the level was way too low. I'm getting more familiar with the Lower Loius but decided not to paddle solo yet until I know the river better and feel a bit more comfortable. And there is a little bit more water covering those razor rocks.
