Happy Pug!

One of the things I missed the most about my dogs getting older is not being able to go on long walks. Pugs in their prime can run the bluffs for hours! I found this jogging stroller on craigslist for a measly $10! Boo has had a decline this spring and summer. To tell the truth I was thinking of the unthinkable but I could tell she wasn't ready to go. I'm glad I didn't. About a month and a half ago she took a turn for the better. I have been doing physical therapy on her and it's working. We are at the point of strengthening her back legs now and she's walking much better. With her new found health she is getting bored. With the stroller we're able to take long walks just about anywhere. A great $10 bucks spent for sure. In the photos are my two favorite Red Wing statues...the Jesters and Colvil Park. Colvil is a great place to watch eagles all winter long. Click on the Jester photos to see the detail.

Awww... I am glad you found a solution. I'm slipping on my walking lately. You will motivate me once again! Teddy can walk just fine.

Fall is my absolutley favorite time of the year to hike and walk! Boo has been really happy with this solution. She can walk but not very far so this works out great for both of us. The rest of the year I'm not too much of a walker. I want to go out to Sand Point yet this fall. It's a flat trail to a sandy point on lake Pepin. Usually no one is there and in the spring there are Morel mushrooms along the way. There's really alot to see around here if you know where to look.

You do so many other things for exercise. I walk because I can. Right now I am doing Jonathan Roche's No Excuses Workout and even trying the Fitness Challenge. My heart rate monitor shows me how lack I am.

I guess with my body I have to keep it up. If I slack off for a few days I feel really bad and my muscles start to hurt. I used to do alot a the YMCA but I really like getting out and doing sports or other things that stimulate my mind. I still use the Y for Raquetball, climbing and hot tubbing :)
