"Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old" Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Austrian-Chech writer. These words really resonate with me as I find it's a basic need for me to get out and see beauty in nature every day if I can. I don't have to travel far from home as Red Wing has many beautiful places to go to. I skied the golf course track today. This is a nice intermediate route that takes you half ways up the bluffs. Not as gnar as the otherside of the road but still it has it's attractions. This week there's no wind forcasted...booo....I only have the mornings off so no climbing or downhill skiing....so I'll be on my XC skis on the local trails near home. Now I may know where there is an ice flow...maybe...I'll be checking this week to see if it's there.

Hey, great quote, but the dude only lived to be 41!!! What gives?!
Hi Jesse!
I found the quote in the newspaper and liked it. I didn't do the math but after your comment I did a little googling. Franz Kafka died of tuberculosis. The full quote starts with "Youth have the ability to see beauty". I found several other quotes from Franz. Definately an extremely intelegent complex man. I think I may just read a few of his books. The bios I perused have hooked my intrest to know more. Meantime there's nothing purtier than a running river...looks like you're having a blast out west!!!!
